The Long Term Benefits of a Healthy Diet

As far back as I can rememember, my mom has always prepared healthy meals, lots of veggies, chicken, fish, fruits, orange juice and tea.  I don't ever recall having a full slab of steak.

After mom passed, Dad started to cook his own meals, continuing the same trend of eating healthy.  He will be 95 years old this year and just takes blood pressure pills.  His doctors are happy with his health and tells him to keep up with whatever he is doing but to stop climbing the ladder to go on the rooftop.  In spite of me going up there to discard the leaves, he feels the need to check the rooftop.  We keep warning him about the potential outcome should he fall but he takes the warning too lightly.  He is an independent and stubborn old man so I hid the ladder. He hasn't asked me about it yet.

Eating right leads to longetivity and listening to a nagging daughter prolongs my dad's physical well being.
